Welcome to the RCSI community of over 17,000 alumni worldwide.

Graduation marks the end of your College experience and the beginning of a new chapter in your life and your relationship with RCSI. The Alumni Relations Team helps you to stay in touch with RCSI and with your classmates and peers through ongoing communication and events.

This page will give you some quick links to useful services but take a look around to get a sense of all the Alumni Relations Team have on offer.

RCSI Alumni Access Card

Alumni who wish to regularly use 26 York Street must apply for an Alumni Access Card via Alumni Office.

How to Apply

Please email with the following information:

  1. State how your full name should appear on your card
  2. Send a headshot photo of you - similar to a passport-style photo
  3. Confirm your preferred postal address so that we can post you your card

Please note: Cards can take up to one week to be distributed. Collection can also be arranged from the Reception Desk in 26 York Street.

Benefits of the Alumni Card

The card will grant you access to 26 York Street, and use of the following facilities:

  • Coffee Shop, called the Dispensary, on the Ground Floor
  • Onsite Library Facilities, including study spaces - find out more below
  • Subject to a charge, access to the RCSI Gym - find out more here

RCSI Email access

All undergraduate RCSI Alumni will retain an RCSI email account post-graduation. This service is provided by RCSI via Microsoft.

What does this mean?

After graduation, RCSI’s IT Department will transfer your RCSI email account and its contents to an RCSI Alumni account. This migration will take place 12 months’ post-graduation; you will be notified one month prior to the switchover date.

  • Your username will stay the same
  • The logon address and email address will change to
  • Your mailbox storage will be capped at 50GB
  • All of your email, calendar and contacts will be available in your new account on the switchover date
  • From the date of the move onwards you will access your email via the following link:

What will happen during the migration?

  • Access to OneDrive, Office and OneNote will no longer be available. We recommend that all data is moved from these services prior to the migration date
  • During the switchover, there may be a period of several hours where you will not have access to your existing emails
  • When the migration is complete you can log into your new account using the email address, e.g., and the password that you normally use for your account
  • Emails sent to your old or addresses will still be delivered to your account


  1. If you have graduated from a postgraduate course at RCSI and wish to avail of an RCSI Alumni email account please email Please be aware that restrictions apply.
  2. If you plan to continue your studies at RCSI within two years post-graduation, please contact the RCSI Helpdesk at to submit a request to prevent your RCSI email from being migrated. This is important because as soon as your account is migrated, your emails will no longer be available on the domain.
  3. The use of email remains covered by RCSI’s Acceptable Use Policy.

RCSI Library access

All RCSI Alumni are most welcome to continue to access the RCSI Library post-graduation. Alumni Library access includes the use of study spaces as well as books, journals and online resources in RCSI’s two onsite locations, 26 York Street and Beaumont Hospital Library.

Discounts on postgraduate courses

Enrol on a postgraduate programme with the RCSI Institute of Leadership and get 10% discount on tuition fees.

RCSI Gym Membership

Gym Membership in 26 York Street will be made available to alumni in 2019. Should you be interested in joining the gym, please email and we will contact you as soon as membership becomes available.

Seanad Éireann Elections, NUI

"every person who is a citizen of Ireland and has received a degree (other than an honorary degree) in the National University of Ireland, and has attained the age of 18 years, shall be entitled to be registered as an elector in the register of electors for the National University constituency" (Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act, 1937 s.7(1)).

To be eligible to vote in the Seanad Election (NUI Constituency), a graduate's name must be on the NUI Seanad Éireann Register of Electors. Registration Claim Forms can be online here.

NUI Graduates (who are otherwise eligible) who return completed Registration Claim Forms to the NUI Office by 26th February in any given year will be listed in the NUI Seanad Éireann Register to be published on 1st June of that year.
