Surgical fellowship opportunities in Ireland

RCSI welcomes applications from international medical graduates (from outside EU/EEA/Switzerland) to undertake two-year surgical fellowships in Ireland, commencing in January and July each year.

Suitably qualified surgical trainees who have been nominated by their employer or other sponsoring agency can apply to Surgery International at the Department of Surgical Affairs for a place on RCSI’s Surgical Fellowship Programme (SFP).

International medical graduates who secure a place on RCSI’s SFP must register with the Irish Medical Council for the duration of their training in Ireland and return to their sponsoring hospital/country on completion of the programme.

If you are interested in taking part, you can submit your expression of interest. You can view indicative programme brochure below. In particular please note application criteria on page 7 of the programme. We will be in touch with shortlisted candidates who meet all the application criteria to make a full application.

The College looks forward to working closely with sponsors and intending candidates on the SFP.
