The Boulos Hanna Summer Studentship

Boulos Hanna Studentships are offered each Summer from 1998 to undergraduate students of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).

The aim of these studentships is to improve our understanding of psychosocial aspects of healthcare and to do this in a manner that promotes interest in these issues at a formative stage in undergraduate health professional training. The studentships will provide students with a first-hand opportunity to investigate aspects of healthcare and its delivery. Students will work on a particular project in a multidisciplinary research context in the Department of Psychology (Division of Population Health Sciences), RCSI. The studentships are dedicated to the memory of Mr Boulos Hanna, former consultant surgeon at Cavan General Hospital.
