The Council Chamber, which was originally part of the College's old museum, is a serene room with two large windows overlooking York Street. It is here the elected Council meets to discuss College business.
The traditional barber poles are placed in this room when not in use. These poles are reminders of the connection long ago between barbers and surgeons and are brought out during offfical occasions and processions.
The room has many fine elements representing historic traditions that carry through to this day.
