This room is named after Abraham Colles, a prominent Irish surgeon who taught in the College for 32 years and was President of the College in 1802.

This room has many fine features including two magnificent stained glass windows, one bearing the insignia of the College Crest and the other the Colles family Crest.

A particularly splendid feature of this room is the magnificent Georgian ceiling with its ornate plasterwork, dating back to the eighteenth century.

A portrait of Colles hangs over Bossi fireplace. It is an example of their fine workmanship for which they are renowned. A painting by William Orpen of Oliver St. John Gogarty also attracts many admiring eyes.
