The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland is an outstanding landmark on St. Stephen's Green and few are aware that it has stood here since 1810. Fewer still are aware of the great activity that goes on behind this beautiful and stately facade.
To appreciate the influence the College has had on medicine, we must first look back to the early days of surgery in Ireland. This virtual tour will lead you through the history of the College, with a tour of the College itself and a profile of the people whose impact on surgery in Ireland and abroad is still felt to this day.
This tour highlights nine locations within the College and within each location are features of interest. To move around the College, you can either click on the doorways leading into rooms, or use the left hand side navigation to move between locations.
