Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL)

TEL is a culture where a wide range of learners (e.g. full-time, part-time, professionals, international) are provided with robust technology that supports flexible learning opportunities. Adapted from JISC, 2010)

Our mission is to support five key strategic areas as outlined in the TEL Strategy for RCSI (2014 - 2017). These five pillars form the basis for the recommendations for achieving the vision and a prioritised set of actions to arrive at TEL best practice.

Working from a pedagogical perspective, we adopt a broad approach to using technology to support teaching and learning processes, design, and delivery. By collaborating with academic staff & our colleagues from IT department, Library, Student Services & Staff Learning & Professional Development to leverage our combined expertise and resources to fulfil our mission and enact the vision of TEL for students and staff at RCSI.
