Postgraduate Study
Studying at postgraduate level offers students excellent opportunities to develop as leaders in their chosen field, to pursue a variety of careers and to take advantage of career-enhancing mobility and progression. At RCSI we offer two types of postgraduate course:
1. Higher degree by research including doctoral degrees (3-year or 4-year PhD, 2-year MD), Masters in Surgery (1-year MCh) and Masters in Science by Research (1-year MSc). Please click here for further details. The timings stated here are for full time study, equivalent lengths of time for part-time study will apply.
2. Taught Masters courses - these are often aimed at people employed within particular healthcare professions and are usually completed part-time over two years. Please click here for further details.
