Division of Population Health Sciences

Since 2006, RCSI have adopted a new Divisional structure in the Population Health Sciences.

The Division comprises the Departments of Epidemiology and Public Health Medicine, and Psychology. We became a Division in 2006 so that we could develop a critical mass of academics from multi-disciplinary backgrounds (Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Health Psychology, Health Services Research and Social Science).

We now comprise a group of more than 50  staff members and are located in Beaux Lane House. Since our establishment, we have been successful in attracting national and international funding for our research and educational activities. These activities along with our undergraduate teaching are outlined below.

We have a governance structure based on mutual academic collaboration between our departments, led by our respective heads, Anne Hickey (Serving Head of Division - Psychology),  Ruairi Brugha (Epidemiology and Public Health).

Please feel free to contact us if you need any additional assistance.
