Overview

This workshop is run in conjunction with the Medical Protection Society (MPS), and is held on-site in RCSI, Dublin 2. This course provides you with skills to combat the common causes of complaints and claims. In particular, this workshop is designed to help you identify the risk factors related to professional interactions. It provides proven techniques and models to reduce risk and improve patient outcomes.

  • Increase your understanding of the nature of high-risk professional interactions
  • Learn how to deal with disagreements between doctors over patient care
  • Gain increased awareness of risk to patients and doctors when patient care is transferred or disagreements occur
Who is this course suitable for? SHOs and registrars in all surgical specialties, emergency medicine doctors
