Dr Norma Bassett

Dr Norma Bassett qualified at Cambridge University and reigned in paediatrics – including a year at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria.

She worked in maternal and child health in Bristol Public Health for four years; with a young family worked in the Dept. of Paediatrics in Kaduna, and also worked in Nigeria for eight months and at MRC Laboratories, Gambia for six years and spent six years in the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific working as a GP.

Dr Bassett also spent 10 years as Lecturer at the Fiji School of Medicine, teaching in the problem-based learning programme.
