Dr John D. Cahill


Dr John D. Cahill is visiting Senior Lecturer for the Department. He is Senior Consultant in Infectious Disease and Emergency Medicine at St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. There he is the Director of Tropical Medicine Services and the Global Health Fellowship.

He holds academic appointments as well at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. He is one of the site directors for the global surveillance network known as GeoSentinel, a program supported by the CDC and the International Society of Travel Medicine.

He has published numerous articles and books on the subjects related to tropical disease, emerging infectious diseases, and public health emergencies.
