Current position: Professor of Biochemistry, Director of Quality Enhancement
Biography: David graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology with a National Diploma in Biotechnology. In 1985 he obtained his BA (mod.) in Biochemistry from Trinity College, Dublin followed by an MA; a PhD in Genetics; and a Post-graduate Diploma in Statistics in 1999. Following post-doctoral appointments as an EMBO Long-term Research Fellow at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (Paris) and as a consultant to the Biotechnology Division of the United Nations International Development Organisation (Vienna), he joined the staff of the Medical School of RCSI where he is Professor of Biochemistry. From 2006 - 2010, Prof. Croke served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and Junior Cycle Director. He is currently Director of Quality Enhancement.
