Biography
Frances Horgan is a graduate of the University of Dublin, Trinity College. She holds a BSc (Physiotherapy), MSc (Research), Diploma in Statistics and PhD degrees from the University of Dublin, Trinity College. Prior to joining the RCSI School of Physiotherapy in 1999, she worked as a senior physiotherapist in neurology and care of the elderly in the Meath hospital and the Adelaide and Meath Hospital incorporating the National Children's Hospital Tallaght, Dublin. She is the course director of the taught Masters course in Neurology and Gerontology for physiotherapists at RCSI. She is a founder member of the Irish Heart Foundation, Council on Stroke since 1997 and was Council on Stroke Secretary from 1999 - 2009 and Chairperson from 2009 - 2015. She is Vice Dean for Inter-Professional Education at RCSI (2014-2018).
