Aisling graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a B.Sc. (Pharmacy) degree in 2015 and subsequently received an MPharm degree from RCSI in 2016. During the MPharm Programme, Aisling spent six months as a researcher in RCSI with Dr. Judith Strawbridge and a further six months in hospital pharmacy. Aisling worked briefly as a community pharmacist before returning to RCSI to commence her PhD under the supervision on Dr. Judith Strawbridge, Professor Paul Gallagher (School of Pharmacy, RCSI) and Professor Teresa Pawlikowska (Health Professions Education Centre, RCSI). Aisling's PhD is funded by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Studentship. Her research is based on the impact of the new 5-year integrated pharmacy programme with a thesis entitled: Does a transition to an integrated 5-year pharmacy programme better prepare pharmacists for practice?
