Fergal O'Shaughnessy studied Pharmacy in RCSI and graduated with a B.Sc. (Pharm) in 2010, and an MPharm in 2011. Fergal undertook his Pharmacy internship in the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital, and following this, spent 4 years working as a pharmacist in St. Vincent's University Hospital (SVUH). Here he gained experience in wide variety of clinical and non-clinical areas of hospital pharmacy practice. During this time he also undertook an M.Sc. in Hospital Pharmacy through Trinity College Dublin.
In 2015, Fergal took up a position in the Pharmacy Department of the Rotunda Hospital and commenced his PhD as part of the SPHeRE programme (Structure Population Health and Health Services Research) within the Division of Population Health Sciences in RCSI.
