Minister for Equality, Disability and Mental Health, Mr. John Moloney T.D. was welcomed at the 76th Biological Society meeting at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). Minister Moloney spoke on Mental Health at the event.

The proceedings were opened by the President of the Society Professor Noel G. McElvaney, followed by the presentation of medals. Among the recipients at this years meeting were Oystein Sordal, winner of the RCSI Council Medal; Janso Padickakudi, winner of the RCPI Council Medal; Mark Willcox, winner of the Leonard Abrahamson Medal and Wei-Lyn Chung, winner of the Association of Graduates Medal.

Other guest speakers of the evening included medical students Laura Davis and Brian Drake, who delivered a speech entitled “Mobility Programme: The Bahrain Experience.”
