Deadline Extended for RCSI’s Masters (M.Sc.) in Women's Health

15 May 2006

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) has extended it Friday May 26th deadline for receipt of applications to its Masters Programme in Women’s Health to Friday the 09th of June 2006.

Established in October 2002, the M.Sc. in Women’s Health is a two-year part-time course covering all aspects of women’s health from gynaecology to medical ethics to anthropology and is particularly focused on the care of women in a primary care setting. The first of its kind in Ireland, this M.Sc. is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals who have not had the opportunity to access post-graduate training in this area and who wish to avail of the opportunity to improve their skills.

The programme combines educational methods that encourage self-directed learning, reflection on personal experience and critical thinking and also affords participants the opportunity to present original research. Applications are invited from both the medical and nursing professions.
