This is the eighth consecutive year that a Postgraduate Conferring Ceremony has been held in Penang. In that time, in excess of 130 Fellows, Associate Fellows and Members have been conferred. Commenting on the event, RCSI President Professor Gerald O'Sullivan said "Without doubt, one of the college's greatest successes in our long history was the establishment of the Penang Medical School with our partners, University College Dublin. Success can only be achieved through vision and then lots of hard work. It also illustrates the very strong link between RCSI and the state of Penang and indeed the people of Malaysia. By continuing to work together, there are no limits to what we can achieve in the areas of both undergraduate and postgraduate studies."
