Watch November's RCSI MiniMed lectures on pregnancy screening and breast cancer

The RCSI MiniMed Open Lecture Series 2014/15 continued on Wednesday 26th November with lectures by Professor Arnold Hill, Head of School of Medicine and Professor of Surgery at RCSI; and Professor Fergal Malone of the RCSI Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The talks, open free of charge to the public, covered the topics of ‘Breast Cancer - What Do We Know Now?' and ‘Screening In Pregnancy - Is My Baby Normal?' are now available to watch online.
 
In his RCSI MiniMed talk, Prof Hill speaks about the latest breast cancer therapies as well as the new, less invasive, surgical innovations in breast cancer therapy and breast reconstruction. He will bring viewers through the options open to patients for managing the illness and he will discuss the future challenges in breast cancer treatment. Prof Malone will give viewers of this video an insight into the most recent advances in pregnancy screening technology. He will outline the options open to the public for screening as well as the options available if any fetal problems are found. Prof Malone, finally, will discuss the decision-making process around pregnancy termination once a significant fetal abnormality is diagnosed.
