RCSI hosts annual Ballroom of Romance

31 July 2012

More than 250 senior citizens visited the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) last Thursday evening for the Ballroom of Romance. The Ballroom of Romance is an annual entertainment evening of dinner, music and dancing held for senior citizens living in the catchment area of the College. This was the second time RCSI hosted the event, after the success of last year's Ballroom of Romance.

Music was provided on the night by the Garda band, the Young Orchestral Pops (YOPS) Orchestra and the Whitefriar Strings Projects, whose budding local musicians entertained guests on arrival.

The event was organised by Ms. Maria Kelly, REACH RCSI Programme, in partnership with Dublin City Council South East Area Community Development team.

The Garda Band were on song to entertain all who attended RCSI for the Ballroom of Romance
