The College provides support for surgeons in practice through its publications and surgical guidelines. These include the following:

The Surgeon
The Surgeon is a joint publication between the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Ireland. Published bi-monthly, it is a major education resource for both trainee and practising surgeons, a forum for debate, and a publisher of high quality comissioned and peer-reviewed articles covering all surgical specialties. It has a strong education and CPE component which is linked to aspects of surgical training in both Colleges including Select and BeST. The Surgeon contains authoritative review articles on clinical practice and the scientific basics of surgery. It also include a section on Healthcare Management. The Editor in Chief of the Journal is Professor Austin Leahy from the Irish College and Professor Robert Steele from the Scottish College is the Editor.

RCSI News Scope
RCSI News Scope was introduced in 2010 to replace the RCSI Bulletin. It is produced 3 times a year for Fellows and Members of the College to keep them informed about news and events within the College as well as changes within the surgical community.
