Rukmani Sridharan wins PhD Student Paper competition at SB3C

Well done to PhD student Rukmani Sridharan who took home the top prize in the PhD student paper competition at the 2017 SB3C - Summer Biomechanics, Bioengineering, and Biotransport Conference (Biomaterials and Material-Cellular Interaction session).

The meeting was held in Tucson, Arizona, June 21-24. Rukmani's submission was entitled 'Substrate stiffness dictates macrophage polarization and their cross-talk with mesenchymal stem cells: implications for biomaterial design'. Her PhD research, funded by the AMBER Centre, is supervised by Profs Fergal O'Brien and Danny Kelly (TCBE).
