Dr Rosanne Raftery receives Barnes Medal for Best Oral Presentation at Research Day 2017

Well done to all the TERG and RCSI researchers who presented their work with posters and talks at the 2017 Research Day, 9 March.

 

Special congratulations to TERG post-doc, Dr Rosanne Raftery who won the Barnes Medal for Best Oral Presentation (Early Career Category) for her talk entitled ' Translating the Fundamental Role of Osteogenic-Angiogenic Coupling in Bone Formation: Highly Efficient Combinatorial Gene Activated Scaffolds Accelerate Bone Regeneration in Critical-sized Defects'.

This award is named after Dr Joe Barnes, Professor Emeritus of Tropical Medicine in RCSI and was presented by his son Mr Matthew Barnes, pictured below with his daughter Ms. Yvette Barnes and Rosie's supervisor, Prof. Fergal O'Brien.
