Students on duty at the Rotunda Hospital

30 June 2016

Quality clinical placements are a key feature of the MSc in Physician Associate Studies. It is vital that students are offered real experiences of practicing medicine across a range of healthcare settings. Placements are varied and include all aspects of healthcare – from emergency response medicine with Dublin Fire Brigade to general hospital experience and local community healthcare.

The PA students' latest placement has been at one of Ireland's busiest maternity hospitals – the Rotunda in Dublin, where they have witnessed the daily life of maternity and post-natal care on the wards, at consultations and in theatre.
