18 January 2018

RCSI has welcomed its newest Physician Associate (PA) students to the college. The group of 11 are the third cohort of students to embark on the intensive two-year Masters in Physician Associate Studies. The first cohort graduated in December 2017.

Commenting on the occasion, Professor James Paul O'Neill, Medical Director of the PA programme said: "We are delighted to welcome the latest Physician Associate students to RCSI. The PA role is an exciting career pathway that offers a unique opportunity to work as an integral member of the medical team, in a wide variety of healthcare settings. The profession is growing rapidly internationally and we are delighted to be the first college in Ireland to offer a qualification in PA studies. I wish our new cohort of students every success in their studies and future careers".
