Cian is a graduate of Pharmacy from University College Cork and subsequently went on to receive a Masters in Pharmacy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.Thereafter, he was selected as PhD postgraduate scholar for the BioAnalysis and Therapeutics (BioAT) programme and was the recipient of a European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO) Short Term Fellowship during the course of his PhD. Cian was appointed as a pharmaceutics lecturer in the RCSI School of Pharmacy in January 2015 and his current area of research concerns the development of collagen-based biomaterials for applications in 3D airway in vitro modelling and respiratory tissue regeneration.
