RCSI Father – Son invited speakers at FASEB Summer Conference.

Prof Brian Harvey (Molecular Medicine) and son Dr Harry Harvey (PhD RCSI Cancer Genetics) were invited speakers at the recent FASEB Summer Research Conference on steroid hormones held in Snowmass, Colorado. 

Harry gave the Invited Young Investigator Lecture on his recent PNAS paper on novel genes in colorectal cancer co-authored with researchers from RCSI and the University of Nice, France .  The PNAS paper is in the top 5% of all research outputs scored by Altmetric (https://pnas.altmetric.com/details/18464285 ). 

Brian delivered an Invited Lecture on sexual dimorphism of estrogen actions in health and disease, A topic of research policy focus by FASEB and the NIH (http://www.nature.com/news/policy-nih-to-balance-sex-in-cell-and-animal-studies-1.15195 ).
