RCSI Research Outreach Programme

At RCSI, the Research Outreach programme has been active since 2000 and  promotes public awareness of medical research. The main aim of the Research Outreach programme is to educate and inform the general public, teachers and students about  biomedical research carried out in the College and its impact on health. We believe that scientists have a fundamental role and duty developing outreach activities that will inform the non-specialist of their research and its impact on the world at large.

The outreach modules communicate the College’s medical research and breakthroughs in a way that is accessible and understandable to these audiences.

  • Primary school students and teachers.

  • Secondary school students and science teachers.

  • Third level students and staff.

  • Members of the general public.

The outreach modules communicate the College’s complex medical research and breakthroughs in a way that is accessible to these audiences.

Please feel free to contact our Outreach Officer at outreach@rcsi.ie if you have any enquires about our Research Outreach Programme.
