A THREE DAY PRACTICAL TRAINING COURSE

Aimed at:
Trainees who are starting Basic
Surgical Training in all of the surgical specialties
Course Objectives:
To train the participants in generic basic techniques applicable
to all types of surgery.
Course Content:
This is a practical, hands on course covering the following:
Instrument handling Suturing techniques Knot tying techniques Wound management
Introduction to endoscopic surgery A satisfactory completion of this course
is a requirement for obtaining the CCBST (Certificate of Completion for Basic
Surgical Training).
Closing Date:
One month (exactly) before course date commencement

How to apply:
Please note that
there are only sixteen places available on each course. These are
awarded on a first come, first served basis on receipt of completed
application and fee. Please keep the Surgical Training Office advised of
any changes to your contact details, as course materials will be posted to you
prior to your course.
