Catalogues

A portion of the antiquarian books is already available on the library's online catalogue. The majority, however, are still only accessible on card catalogue. There are a number of card catalogues; the main one covers the entire antiquarian collection, with separate catalogues of pamphlets and of each of the special collection.

All of these card catalogues are arranged by author, with no subject catalogue. It is therefore necessary to have compiled a bibliography of the research subject to establish whether or not books by a particular author are held. The holdings are also listed by century, with Irish publications listed separately.
