Service
The Department of Geriatric and Stroke Medicine provides a comprehensive geriatric service to the population of North Dublin.
Specific services include a memory service, orthogeriatrics, psychiatry of old age and rehabilitation. These activities are carried out jointly on the Beaumont Hospital and St Joseph's Hospital sites.
Stroke Medicine
The acute stroke service was established jointly with the Department of Neurology in November 2009. The Stroke Service provides acute stroke care including thrombolysis and neurointervention. On going rehabilitation is provided on both the Beaumont site and St Joseph's Hospital Raheny.
