Learning objectives

  • Understand ultrasound instrumentation and indications for point of care ultrasound (POCUS)
  • Practice FAST ultrasound and understand its indications and applications
  • Practice AAA and IVC assessment
  • Understand the role of echocardiography in life support
  • Ability to use ultrasound for peripheral and central venous access
  • Understand the role of ultrasound in assessing chest pathology
