Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Coláiste Ríoga na Máinleá in Éirinn

Register with the LAFS

RCSI is committed to building an inclusive learning environment. In compliance with legislation, the College is further committed to the provision of Reasonable Accommodation (RA) as defined in that legislation as a response to meet individual needs and as far as possible to enable full access and participation for all students with a disability, a significant on-going medical condition or learning difficulty.

All students seeking reasonable accommodation in relation to a disability, a significant medical condition or learning difficulty are required to confidentially disclose their status to the College and register with the learning access and facilitation service (LAFS) by the published deadlines.

Disclosure of a disability, significant medical condition or learning difficulty does not necessarily imply the need for reasonable accommodation or that an application for accommodation would be successful. However, if you believe you meet the criteria to apply for reasonable accommodation, we strongly encourage you to register with our service in order that we can assess your needs and explore options to support you.

Reasonable accommodations provided may be temporary or may be provided for the duration of your programme of studies. All accommodations provided are subject to periodic review that the supports being provided remain appropriate.

If you have a disability, significant medical condition or learning difficulty and wish to explore the possibility of receiving reasonable accommodations, please complete the forms by using the links to the right. Forms once completed should be saved, signed and submitted to the CoMPPAS office for processing.

Forms submitted by email can be sent via learningsupport@rcsi.ie
