This short programme aims to provide registered nurses & midwives with evidenced informed knowledge to critically develop nurses’ theoretical and practical understanding of how change management in healthcare can result in the achievement of change projects, goals and vision. The content will focus on change management models, identifying the HSE change model in particular.

  • To support registered nurses and midwives in enhancing their confidence, skills and competences, with regard to the successful leading and managing of change.

At the end of this CPD programme, participants will be able to:
  • Critically discuss the factors influencing change and undertake a SWOT analysis.
  • Critically analyse the different models of change.
  • Critically discuss why reasons why change projects succeed and fail.
  • Critically discuss the HSE change model and its applicability in practice.
  • Critically discuss the emotional responses to change processes.
