Basic Laparoscopic Skills

Overview

This practical course will give you expert formative feedback while practicing laparoscope handling, object positioning and tissue manipulation. You will then progress to performing laparoscopic cholecystectomy on a simulated model.

  • Improve your camera navigation skills
  • Improve your instrument handling skills
  • Improve your depth of perception and dissection skills
  • Familiarise yourself with the steps and haptic feedback of performing a laparoscopic cholecystectomy
Who is this course suitable for? SHOs in general surgery, colorectal surgery, urology, obstetrics, and gynaecology.
Fee Free for eligible NCHDs on the CPDSS programme or €300 for others.
