Annual Meeting of the Irish Society of Urology (ISU) 2017

The Annual Meeting of the Irish Society of Urology will take place on Friday, 15 and Saturday, 16 September 2017, in the Kingsley Hotel, Cork.

ISU membership

ISU members in good standing are eligible for reduced registration fees. Payment of ISU annual membership fee is made through the ISU website.

You must first register on the website, after which you will receive confirmation of registration by email within one working day. You may then pay your membership fee by PayPal (no account required, credit card will suffice). If you have any difficulties, please email info@irishsocietyofurology.ie.

A number of rooms have been reserved on a time limited basis for the ISU Annual Meeting at the Kingsley Hotel, Cork. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

Presentation guidelines

Oral presentations:

  • Maximum of 10 slides, including the title slide.
  • 7 minutes presentation/3 minutes discussion (10 minutes time allocation).
  • Please use the ISU conference template to develop your presentation.
  • If you are using video clips in your presentations, the clips should be in MPG or AVI format, please ensure you advise in advance if audio is required.
  • If you are using a Mac computer, please ensure you bring your own VGA connection cables.
  • All presentations must be submitted to the technician on a portable drive (USB stick) prior to your session to avoid delays. 

Poster presentations:

Poster:

  • Posters will be presented in hardcopy this year
  • Posters should be on display on the posters boards in the main meeting room at least 60 minutes before the session commencement
  • Presenters must be in attendance at their posters for the viewing session (the initial 30 minutes of the poster session) and will then deliver their presentation
Presentation slides:
  • Maximum of three slides, including title slide.
  • 1.5 minutes presentation/3 minutes discussion.
  • Please use the slide template for developing your presentation slides.
  • If you are using a Mac computer, please bring along the necessary cables.

ISU Annual Meeting Awards

There will be a prize for the top scoring oral and poster presentation as well as the award of the Irish Society of Urology Medal for the overall best presentation. The oral and poster prizes will be presented at the close of day two of the conference. This year’s ISU Medal winner will be announced at the ISU Annual Dinner on Saturday, 16 September in UCC. The medal winner will be a guest of the society at the dinner and cost of the dinner ticket will be reimbursed.
